I didn't want to use the walkthrough, but I didn't know what to do anymore. I looked at the walkthrough only to find out the game glitched and some items didn't appear. It's a shame, since I've played every Cube Escape game without having any glitches. So for a paid game to glitch is upsetting. It was also annoying that you couldn't play certain sections, instead having to play the whole game again if you made a mistake. Frustrating if you're a completionist. Otherwise, it'd be a stellar game.

could've used more refinement/testers. I had to look up help for every room and never felt like I missed something clever. the answer would be some object id already tapped on 15 times but it had to be exactly on the left antler. it kinda ruined the game when I didnt know if I was stuck because I had to think a little harder or if some object would randomly work differently if clicked on later.

Rusty Lake Hotel is a short, unusual, enjoyable game with a gorgeous - albeit macabre - setting and occasionally takes a dark, twisted turn. The puzzles range from logical and simple to solve to difficult, even counterintuitive, and many players find a walkthrough necessary for the most difficult puzzles. I really enjoyed playing Rusty Lake Hotel although it took a few play throughs to get all the stars. I'm looking forward to playing more games in the series.
